Algebra 2 tutoring
Algebra 2 moves fast and stacks new function types on top of each other — quadratics, exponentials, logarithms, rational expressions — so a student who loses one thread can feel lost within a week. Tell us where the course lost you, and the team looks for a tutor who teaches Algebra 2 at your school’s pace.

Course topics
Algebra 2 is really several shorter units stitched together. Naming the unit that stopped making sense is the fastest way to get useful help, rather than describing the whole course as "hard".
The unit that most often needs a tutor: it introduces a genuinely new kind of function rather than extending one students already know.
Course pacing and unit names vary by school and textbook. Mention your textbook or the unit you are currently on so the team can confirm whether a suitable tutor is available.

How matching works
The Prep2Perfection team reviews your request and looks for a suitable tutor, rather than asking families to choose from an unfiltered list.
If the match is wrong
If the tutor is not the right fit, let the team know and Prep2Perfection will help arrange another suitable match.

New customers can start with a free demo lesson to meet the tutor and see whether the match feels suitable before continuing.
How it works
Complete the request with "Algebra 2" as the course, plus the specific unit — quadratics, logarithms, rational expressions — and whether it is one topic, an upcoming test, or the whole class.
The team reviews the request and looks for a tutor comfortable with Algebra 2 at your level, rather than a general math tutor who has not taught the course recently.
Bring a problem from your current unit. Working through something real shows whether the tutor’s explanations actually land, which a first conversation cannot.
Pricing
These rates apply to online monthly tutoring packages.
| Monthly package | Rate per hour |
|---|---|
| 5 hours | $39 |
| 10 hours | $36 |
| 15 hours | $33 |
| 20 hours | $30 |
One-time sessions, advanced college subjects and local or in-person tutoring may be priced differently.

Everything is going well thank you.
Questions
Algebra 2 introduces several genuinely new function families — exponential, logarithmic, rational — rather than extending linear and quadratic ideas from Algebra 1. A student who was comfortable with Algebra 1’s methods can hit a wall the first time the course asks them to reason about a completely new kind of function, which is a normal transition point rather than a sign something was missed earlier.
Precalculus assumes Algebra 2’s function families are already solid and builds trigonometry and limit-style reasoning on top of them. Gaps in Algebra 2 — especially exponentials, logarithms and rational functions — tend to resurface in Precalculus, so tutoring at this stage is often the more efficient place to close them.
Either. Some families request help for a single unit — logarithms or a chapter test — and stop there; others continue for the rest of the course. Say which one you need in your request so the team can match the arrangement to it.
Yes. Tutoring supports students catching up as well as students who are doing fine but want a stronger foundation before moving into an Honors or Advanced Placement math track, where the pace is faster and gaps compound quickly.
Where your course uses one. Graphing calculators come up most often in the functions and quadratics units; mention the calculator your class requires so the tutor can work with the same tool you use in class.
It depends on the unit and how far behind it has gone. A single confusing topic can sometimes be resolved in a couple of sessions; a unit missed for several weeks usually needs more. The team can talk through what is realistic once they know the specific gap.
