Frequently Asked Questions About Tutoring in the United States
Online monthly packages range from $30 to $39 per hour, depending on the number of hours selected. One-time sessions, advanced college subjects and local or in-person tutoring may be priced differently.
Private tutors can be valuable because they provide personalized one-on-one support based on a student’s current level, learning needs and academic goals. This focused support can help students work through difficult concepts, build confidence and extend their understanding.
Both formats provide one-on-one support. Online tutoring takes place through video calls and digital learning tools, making it convenient for students in different locations. Local or in-person tutoring may also be requested, but availability depends on the subject, academic level, location and tutor availability.
Students need a reliable internet connection and a device that can join the agreed video call. Any subject-specific materials or additional tools can be confirmed when the tutoring arrangement is matched.
Online tutoring can connect students with a suitable tutor when a local match is not available. You may still request local or in-person tutoring, but availability depends on the subject, academic level, location and tutor availability.
Complete the matching request with the subject, academic level, support needs, preferred lesson format, location and availability. The Prep2Perfection team reviews those details and looks for a suitable tutor rather than asking families to choose from an unfiltered list.
New customers can start with a free demo lesson to meet the tutor and see whether the match feels suitable before continuing.
If the tutor is not the right fit, let the team know and Prep2Perfection will help arrange another suitable match.
The team begins looking for a suitable tutor after receiving your request. Same-day matching may be possible, but it is not guaranteed and depends on the subject, academic level, preferred lesson format, location and tutor availability.
Progress can be reviewed through agreed learning goals, stronger understanding of the subject, completed work and changes in assessments or grades where relevant. Regular communication between the student, family and tutor can help identify what is improving and where more support is needed.
No. Tutoring can support students who need help with difficult material as well as high-performing school and college students who want enrichment, exam preparation or support with more advanced topics.
Prep2Perfection supports elementary school, middle school, high school and college students across a range of subjects. Include the subject or course and academic level in your request so the team can confirm whether a suitable tutor is available.
Lesson times depend on tutor availability. Include your preferred days, times and time zone in your request so the team can look for a suitable match.
Rescheduling depends on the agreed lesson arrangement and tutor availability. Contact the team or tutor as early as possible when a lesson needs to change.
Once the tutoring arrangement has been confirmed, the team will send a secure payment link with the relevant invoice or confirmation.
Yes. Online monthly packages are available, with hourly rates based on the number of hours selected. One-time sessions, advanced college subjects and local or in-person tutoring may use a different arrangement and price.
